Fever Stress and Alpha 1 Antitrypsin
نویسندگان
چکیده
The behaviour of alpha 1 antitrypsin in fever stress condition had been investigated on a lot of 51 males and females subjects. 76.4% of them had adaptative reaction by increasing the alpha 1 antitrypsin; 23.5% with basal normal values had no significant reaction in the fever phase and only one subject was deficiently in both conditions. The significance of the non-reactive subjects supports discussion about their limited antielastatic capacity in important aggressions, in spite of the normal basal values.

Alpha-1 antitrypsin, retinol binding protein and keratin 10 alterations in patients with psoriasis vulgaris, a proteomic approach
Objective(s):Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that appears on the skin. Although psoriasis is clinically and histologically well characterized, its pathogenesis is unknown in detail. The aims of this study were to evaluate the proteome of psoriatic patients' sera and to compare them with those of normal healthy human to find valuable biomarkers. Materials and Methods: In a case-control study,...
متن کاملAlpha-1-Antitrypsin: A Novel Human High Temperature Requirement Protease A1 (HTRA1) Substrate in Human Placental Tissue
The human serine protease high temperature requirement A1 (HTRA1) is highly expressed in the placental tissue, especially in the last trimester of gestation. This suggests that HTRA1 is involved in placental formation and function. With the aim of a better understanding of the role of HTRA1 in the placenta, candidate substrates were screened in a placenta protein extract using a gel-based mass ...
متن کاملSynthesis of stress proteins is increased in individuals with homozygous PiZZ alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency and liver disease.
Individuals who are homozygous for the protease inhibitor phenotype Z (PiZ) genetic variant of alpha 1-antitrypsin (alpha 1-AT) have reduced plasma concentrations of alpha 1-AT, and are susceptible to premature development of pulmonary emphysema. A subset of this population develops chronic liver disease. The reduction in plasma concentrations of alpha 1-AT results from a selective defect in se...
متن کاملInfected tracheal diverticulum: a rare association with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency* **
Tracheal diverticulum, defined as a benign outpouching of the tracheal wall, is rarely diagnosed in clinical practice. It can be congenital or acquired in origin, and most cases are asymptomatic, typically being diagnosed postmortem. We report a case of a 69-year-old woman who was hospitalized after presenting with fever, fatigue, pleuritic chest pain, and a right neck mass complicated by dysph...
متن کاملPrevalence of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin (A1AT) Deficiency among Patients with COPD in Kerman, Iran
Background: One of the genetic risk factors for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is deficiency of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin (A1AT). There is no exact statistics about the prevalence of this disease in different regions of Iran. The present study aimed to determine the prevalence of alpha-1 antitrypsin (A1AT) deficiency in COPD patients in Kerman, Iran. Metho...
